Karma Traders is owned and operated by a couple of great friends who met on Koh Rong Island off the South Coast of Cambodia four years ago. Steve Jolly (Australia) and Courtney Scott (Kiwi) have close to a decades worth of first hand knowledge on running hostels in Cambodia. After creating two of the most successful and established hostels on Koh Rong (Island Boys and Vagabonds respectively) the pair have only recently teamed up to create something a bit special here in Kampot. Karma Traders was opened in October 2016 with brand new facilities and lots of space to grow. Come and enjoy a cozy nights stay and a delicious cocktail on their breezy rooftop bar overlooking Bokor National Park.

Our Standard

1. Clean, Safe and Comfortable.
At Karma Traders Kampot, we are dedicated to creating a safe and secure place that is clean and comfortable for our guests and staff. We have comfy beds, shady hammocks, a garden filled with new young fruit trees, free sunrise yoga space and more, all designed for you to have a fantastic, relaxing and social stay with us.
2. Home Away From Home
If there's something we can do to make your stay more comfortable, please let us know. Our goal is for our guests to love Kampot and Cambodia as much as we do, so we're more than happy to help you plan your stay. Most of our staff are Kampot locals who are willing and proud to share their knowledge of the area with you. IF you need anything, just ask!
3. Delicious Food and Drinks
Our menu has been tailored to include some of the best produce in Cambodia. Sourced from local markets, our kitchen cooks Western and Khmer meals to the highest standard. With the most extensive top shelf in Kampot alongside a western quality cocktail menu (and some local spirits to keep your spirits up on a budget), our rooftop bar and restaurant is the perfect place to meet fellow travellers and enjoy a beautiful sunset over Bokor Mountain.
4. By Travellers For Travellers.
We're also travellers, just like you. We know exactly what it's like to suffer through some of the hardships of backpacking, and we've built our hostel from what we've learned over the last few years wearing our packs. We're really looking forward to having a beer and trading travel stories with you. We've also never been beaten at beer pong!
