Our top-rated activities

There’s plenty to see and do in this lazy riverside town.

From two days to two weeks, we can help pull together an itinerary to explore Kampot and make the most of travelling through southern Cambodia.

You can rent a moto, book activities & tours, and schedule your onward travel directly with our Reception team who are always on hand to help.

  • Kayak the Green Loop

Also known as the ‘Green Cathedral’

Just down the road, you’ll find a choice of idyllic riverside spots to rent a kayak and set off for the Green Loop. A shoot off from the main Teuk Chou river, kayak through the man groves and take some sweet shots 📸

  • Things to do in Kampot

    Bokor National Park

Rent a moto and enjoy the windy road through Bokor National Park taking you to the top of the mountain. Befriend some monkeys, explore abandoned buildings (spot what was the King’s Residence) and take in the views over Cambodia’s Southern shores.

  • What to do in Kampot

    Hike to a Waterfall

We have plenty of waterfalls to choose from in Kampot. With different levels of access, you can drive and take a short walk or hike through a banana plantation to enjoy the gushing water and jungle settings.

Ask at Reception for more information 🏞️

    Salt Fields at Sunset

Spend your day at the pepper plantation before watching the sunset over the salt fields for a day of local delicacies.

Kampot’s salt fields are just a 10-min moto ride straight along the river (pro tip: stop at ‘The Wooden House’ on your way back for some delicious Italian food).

  • Pepper Plantation

Known for its world-famous pepper and (lesser known) its salt too, Kampot’s climate enables it to produce the best of the world’s most popular seasonings.

Our favourite plantations are BoTree and La Plantation for tastings and tours.

  • What to do in Kampot

    Horse Ride through the Countryside

Spend a morning with our friends at Horse Riding Cambodia. Upon arrival, you’ll spend time getting to know the horses; groom, saddle, and prep in the area before a countryside trail on horseback.

Suitable for all experience levels; your leader will adapt the experience to your comfort zone.

  • Day trip to Kep

Just a 30-min drive away is Kep, a quiet seaside town known for its Crab market. Start your day with a 6km walk (or drive) through the National Park, or simply take in the view at one of the cute cafes at the entry.

Head down to the crab market and enjoy the best $1 coffee you’ll find before feasting on fresh seafood.

  • Indulge in a Spa Day

For couples or mixed groups, Nibi Spa is a natural, outdoor spa on the river. Enjoy the sauna with a view, herbal steam room, plunge pool, and a range of treatments to choose from.

For female travellers, immerse in a local experience at Banteay Srey Project, a women's only traditional spa ran by rural women.

  • Cooking Class

Learn how to master traditional Khmer dishes at a cooking class. At Kampot Seafood & Pepper, you’ll learn how to make local favourites incorporating Kampot’s key ingredient.
